Overview

Terrain That Fights Back

Realistic Offroad Physics ends the era of every car handling every surface. Vehicles sink into mud, sand, dirt and any soft ground, and anything not built for off-roading has a real chance of getting stuck. Every material carries its own parameters:

  • Depth: how far a vehicle can sink. The deeper it goes, the harder it is to drive, and mud or wet sand can trap a car completely.
  • Softness: how quickly sinking happens. Harder surfaces like gravel give way slowly, while wet sand and mud swallow wheels fast.
  • Traction: grip on the surface. Low traction cuts acceleration, braking and turning, so gravel and rock invite skidding.

What to Expect

  • Surface depth, with vehicles visually sinking into the ground
  • Loss of traction on slippery surfaces
  • Highly realistic handling for each vehicle type and class
  • Optimized synchronization for every player
  • Insanely configurable
  • Super low resource usage
  • Fully standalone, no dependencies

What Decides Off-Road Performance

Suspension height, wheel size, driven wheels (AWD or not), weight, wheel count, weather, vehicle class and off-road tires all feed into how a vehicle copes off the tarmac.

Why It Changes Your Server

This script overhauls the entire driving dynamic on your server. Players will need to think twice before choosing to go off-road, and cars not made for it are likely to get stuck under an inexperienced driver. You can finally ditch the "No GTA/offroad driving" server rule, because now only real off-road vehicles handle the most difficult obstacles.

Realistic Offroad Physics does not modify the vehicle runtime handling meta, which keeps it compatible with basically all resources.

Compatibility

Works flawlessly on all servers: ESX, QBCore, QBox, vRP, and servers running no framework at all.
